 ___THANK YOU___
To all of our guests, proformers, volunteers,
merchants, staff and the City of Riverside
thank you very much for making the
2009 KC Scottish Highland Games and
 Celtic Festival a huge sucsess.

The Kansas City Scottish Highland Games has world-class bagpiping, sanctioned highland dancing and Scottish heavy athletics competitions.  Bring the family to a wee bit of Scotland in America's heartland!

Join us on the grassy fields of E.H. Young Park in Riverside, Missouri, our beautiful home along the Missouri River.  Come experience the color, sounds and traditions of Scotland, here in greater Kansas City, Missouri!

Listen to the Great Highland bagpipe playing over the fields, see world class athletes toss the ancient Scottish caber, and watch our sanctioned Highland Dance competitions showcase the best dancers from across the country. Two stages of live Celtic Music continue throughout the Games, featuring favorite regional entertainers and national headliners. Find many Scottish Clans on Clan Row and discover your genealogy, or simply share the special company of clansfolk from around the region.

The Games offer a full venue of sanctioned Scottish Heavy Athletics, featuring the 190 & Under National Championships and the new National Weight for Distance Championship, showcasing America's top heavyweight pro athletes. Enjoy authentic Scottish and favorite local foods, Celtic merchandise vendors and our colorful Scottish livestock display sheepdogs in action, giant Clydesdale horses and picturesque Highland coo's (cattle). See Pipe and Drum performances and the Parade of Tartans, live-steel swordfights, storytelling, Children's Games, historical re-enactors, Gaelic Language classes and more at the Kansas City Scottish Highland Games.

Discounted lodging is available at our Host Hotel for the 2009 Highland Games the Fairfield Inn by Marriott Kansas City Airport. Just visit our Lodging Page.
